Downtown Knoxville Wedding at The Emporium
Only in Knoxville, Tennessee can you plan a Spring wedding and end up with Summer temperatures. At least that is how it felt on Saturday! Kayla and Michael were married in Downtown Knoxville at The Emporium. There was not a cloud in sight and the weather could not have been more perfect! Yes, it was extremely HOT but everyone had great attitudes about it. Plus, the photographer in me will take sunny skies and 90-degree weather over rainy wedding days any day!
On Saturday, I met up with Kayla and her bridesmaids at Kayla’s family house. When I arrived Kayla was putting the final touches on her hair and makeup! I quickly gathered all her bridal details and found a spot outside on the front porch to photograph them. I always start off the wedding day photographing all the special details a bride chooses for her wedding day! I don’t want these little details to get lost in the hustle and bustle of the wedding day.
Once I was done outside, it was time for Kayla to get in her wedding dress! This is the moment every bride dreams and waits for! Kayla’s dress was perfect for her! Every detail of it perfectly complimented Kayla and complimented her beyond words could describe! After getting in her dress, her bridesmaids circled together and said a prayer over Kayla and Michael and the journey they were about to start as husband and wife.
Once the girls were done getting ready, all of us headed over to The Emporium in Downtown Knoxville! It is here that we spent the rest of our day. Michael and his groomsmen met up with us for their pictures. He had a great group of men supporting him! Lots of humor, laughs, and inside jokes were shared. I don’t think there was a moment on Saturday that Michael was not smiling. I mean as you look at the images below just notice how he smiles at his bride! It’s a smile that just radiates the love he has for Kayla.
Kayla and Michael’s ceremony could not have been more of a perfect one for them. At one point, the officiant (who just happened to be Michael’s uncle), was referencing several Disney princesses and how Kayla and Michael and relate to each princess’ love story. It was literally the perfect ceremony of love and unity for the two.
The rest of the evening was spent with Kayla and Michael enjoying their day and mingling with family and friends. They danced, the laughed, and they simply had a great time. When the time came, we ended our night with a sparkler exit!
Kayla and Michael, I cannot thank you enough for allowing me to spend such an important day with you! I wish each of you nothing but the best! Enjoy this new stage of life as husband and wife!
